Mudiwa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Economic History (9 First Classes), a Special Honours Degree in Economic History and a Masters in International Relations (MSc), all from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).

Cephas has been in legal practice as a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public since January 2008. He has developed a special interest in Labour Law, Civil Litigation and Estate Administration. Before joining Mhishi Nkomo Legal Practice, he was an Associate at one of the leading law firms in Zimbabwe namely, Sawyer and Mkushi Legal Practitioners.
